Chelsea and Aaron met when they were just kids on a recreational soccer team. They share a love for all things Harry Potter, which they incorporated a few elements into their wedding day! You’ll also see some adorable Star Wars themes too! This has been my absolute favorite wedding I have ever photographed! Both Chelsea and Aaron were so laid back and just so very sweet. 

Their original wedding day was supposed to be the weekend of Hurricane Florence, but they had to make the call to reschedule it just in case! They had previously hired another amazing photographer who wasn’t available on their new date, and I was referred to them. I’m SO THANKFUL they chose me!  

Their big day was in the mountains in Charlottesville, Virginia at Delfosse Vineyards and Winery. The land and scenery there was absolutely stunning! Chelsea and Aaron wanted a beautiful mountain wedding with lots of greenery and chose this beautiful venue three hours away from where they reside in Hampton Roads. I think they totally made the perfect choice! 

The day was cold but fortunately very sunny. There was a little cabin on the property where everyone got dressed. Chelsea and Aaron eloped a few weeks ago, so they chose to do a first look without hesitation. It was such a sweet moment watching Aaron admire his beautiful wife. After all the bridal party photos we took advantage of setting sun to take some bride and groom portraits- and they turned out beautifully!!

The sun was creeping behind the mountains when it was time for the ceremony, and the wind made it seem colder than it actually was. All of their friends and family (including me and my amazing second shooter) were all bundled up trying to keep warm.  It was short and sweet, but oh my they had the MOST BEAUTIFUL VOWS I’ve ever heard. I was certainly tearing up behind my camera! Once the sun set after their ceremony, sweet Aaron gave his jacket to Chelsea to keep warm while we set up for family formals. Of course I just had to get a few pics of her wearing it! 😍

 The reception was held in a closed in tent on the property which had heaters to keep it warm. It was the perfect temperature in there, I almost forgot we were in a tent!  The string lights made the perfect romantic setting and as a photographer, I always appreciate those for aesthetics! The DJ was literally incredible and kept the night fun. Literally everyone was dancing the entire time! It was a blast. 

Chelsea and Aaron, thank you so very much for trusting me as your photographer. The day was so much fun and I couldn’t have asked for a better bride and groom to work with! I wish you two many, MANY years of happiness!
