OH MY GOSH, you guys! This little wedding made my heart so happy! Amber and Sam are just the cutest and sweetest couple and I’m so glad they hired me to photograph their elopement!
Sam serves in the Royal Marines, and his ship had to come to Norfolk for a certain part. He hopped on Tinder for the very first time…and the very LAST time. He and Amber connected and WHO KNEW such a love could come from one trip to Norfolk, Va?! I believe this was destiny! They’ve had a long distance relationship for nearly a year and knew they were meant to be.
Ali, a bride of mine who works in the HR department of Target, works with Amber and referred her to me! I chatted with Amber one day while I was checking out with my (unnecessary) Target buys, and told her how important photography would be even if she’s planning an elopement ceremony! My husband and Dino and I also planned an elopement and SOOOO regret not having one for our day.
I was over the moon when I arrived to the little ceremony overlooking the water off the Noland Trail in Newport News. You could easily see Amber and Sam were anxious and a bit nervous. The ceremony included Amber’s parents, her brother, and her cousin. Amber’s brother was in charge of live streaming the ceremony so that all of Sam’s family and friends in the United Kingdom could watch.
After their heartfelt vows, a few happy tears, and the many “first kisses,” we took a few family photos before her family headed off to the reception venue. After that I had Amber and Sam all to myself for portrait time! They are both SO fun and photogenic which made my job super easy! They are just absolutely ADORABLE!! I loved every moment of their woodsy elopement ceremony!
I wish you two many many many years of happiness and success with getting Amber’s Visa! She’s moving to the UK to be with her new husband!! SO ROMANTIC!!!!
