Hi friends! Welcome to the AKP Blog! I'm Ashley Kapic and I'm a New Orleans + Gulf coast wedding photographer. Snuggle up with your love and feel free to browse around for some inspiration and enjoy viewing my latest work! Thanks for stopping by!
Zoe and Jordan’s wedding day at The Barn at Sarah Bella in Picayune, Mississippi, was nothing short of perfect. Zoe reached out on Instagram a year and a half ago, and hired me shortly after! During our initial Facetime meeting I knew she was the perfect bride for me! She was so organized and had a list of questions for me and everything! Now that might scare some photographers away, but I LOVE when my couples are super organized and know exactly what they want!
Her and Jordan chose a wedding collection of mine with a complimentary engagement session, and since I was still living in Virgina at the time, I wasn’t sure if that was able to happen. But another wedding in Louisiana came along last summer and we were able to make it happen! The moment we met up- I LOVED them. These two are so perfect and there was no shortage of laughter.
Finally!!! Over a year after booking with me, their big day finally arrives!! I quickly started getting detail shots (Zoe did an incredible job on choosing them!) and then we started getting her in her dress. So thankful we had plenty extra time for all her amazing bridal portraits!! I’M OBSESSED with those!!!
Jordan looked so anxious as Zoe walked down the aisle, but once they were joined hand and hand, they looked as ready as ever. After the sweet first kiss we started on some portraits and had a BLAST while doing so! Jordan is freaking hilarious and is always making Zoe laugh. The pictures are clearly obvious how much these two love each other! I adore them!!! 😍
Of course we spotted the animals on the farm and headed over to get some shots. A cute little donkey came up to them for some pictures and it was SO CUTE! I mean, who doesn’t love a little ass on their wedding day, right? 🤣
The reception was a blast! Even though my hips were killing me (yay pregnancy LOL), that surely didn’t stop me from busting a move with my fave girl! Her and Jordan cut into the MOST DELICIOUS CAKE EVER and sadly, Zoe’s food allergies didn’t allow her to even taste it! BOOO. I ate like 6 pieces for her though. 😜
Jordan and Zoe tore up the dance floor together and their guests did too! I was especially surprised when they took a little time for themselves and wanted to go outside for a few romantic portraits. They turned out so beautifully.
Again, Thank you guys for trusting me on your big day. I will be rooting for you two, always. LOVE YALL!!
Zoe has really become such an amazing friend through this process and we are definitely going to be having margaritas after I give birth, haha!
