Hi friends! Welcome to the AKP Blog! I'm Ashley Kapic and I'm a New Orleans + Gulf coast wedding photographer. Snuggle up with your love and feel free to browse around for some inspiration and enjoy viewing my latest work! Thanks for stopping by!
Matthew + Krisan are both from Louisiana, but now live and work in Atlanta, conveniently near where I grew up! So when we first got into contact, I was sure that an Atlanta engagement session would rope them in 😉 To my excitement, they hired me! YAY! I knew a wedding for CPAs would be so perfectly perfect. I wasn’t wrong.
Krisan and Matthew’s perfect wedding started off with the most amazing weather! Krisan and her bridesmaids got ready at the cutest little B&B- The Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast, right in the heart of downtown Mandeville. After a quick introduction to the ladies, I got right to work shooting Krisan’s details, which were all perfectly arranged and organized for me. 10 out of 10 would recommend Krisan as a CPA. 😛 Krisan then got into her dress and then did a surprise first look with her bridemaids, followed by a sweet first look with her and Matthew.
We quickly shot family formals WAY ahead of schedule (YASSS) and headed down the street to the ceremony/reception venue, The Lakehouse. We mingled with guests for a few moments before shooting bride and groom portraits. The lighting, the weather, the location…EVERYTHING was just perfect. If I could photograph this exact wedding over and over for the rest of my photo career, I totally would. The ceremony was absolutely during golden hour. Krisan and Matthew were finally MARRIED!
The bride’s family, from Indonesia, arranged a traditional Ulos ceremony for Krisan and Matt. Also Krisan’s mother sang a beautiful song to them as well! Then everyone joined in on the dancefloor and had a great time. I was excited to have people willingly accepting to get photos taken, so the night went by so fast! Too fast! At the very end, the couple did a sparkler send-off!
Words cannot express how perfect their day was! Scroll below to see for yourself! 🙂
